I loved this book! A bossy old English lady, Maudie, who hasnt seen her three grown up children in a very long time, decides it is time to visit them. Very different encounters from each of her children, Jean married with one son..soon Maudie gets bored and moves on to her other daughter, who is very lazy, has a number of unkept children but is appreciated by her husband due to her sluttiness.

Maud has too much to do and is overworked here, she is glad when it is time to visit her son in Malta..but is surprised to find that she has an american girlfriend. Very funny book!
